About us

Justin Roberts

Justin  From the UK, age 28, Cancer

"I have been involved in volluntary work since I was born as my parents were involved as missionaries in India where I grew up.   When I was younger I had the oppertunity to work in Romanian orphanages, Albanian refugee camps, and hospitals, schools and villages all around war-torn eastern Eurpoe.  When I was 18 I came to Africa and have been involved in the same work around Southern African countries ever since.  I was lucky enough to meet Chief Malapo of Ha Matsoete village, Lesotho in 2006 and the idea for Project Twalla was born.  It's great to be able to get involved in a country while travelling and have the oppertunity to give back to the people."

Sarah Dixon

Sarah Dixon From Australia, aged 26, Scorpio

"This is the first time I have had the oppertunity to become involved in a community project like this and  I  find it the most satisfying and exciting work I have ever done! To become involved in an African village to this depth gives a genuinely life-changing and inspiring look into a very different culture from that of my own.  I have travelled to over 25 countries and love being able to still learn so much about the world and now have the chance to give something back."
